As menopause draws closer, people start experiencing some of its signs that can help to alert those that would like to prepare for it. One of the more pronounced sign is hot flashes that occur regardless of the weather. It is always characterized by overheating in the body and too much sweating. The sudden extreme sweating after a normal activity can be embarrassing. This is because it wets your cloth and sometimes the sweat stains stick permanently. 1. Put on removable clothes

A fan can be of great assistance in regulating the room temperature and maintaining it at favorable levels. When you sense hot flashes and the fans are not providing enough cooling increase their speed for effectiveness.

Ice cooling method is a method mostly used by the victims of fire to cool their bodies. It is a great cooling agent that is also recommended for the hot flashes victims. Excess fats are one of the factors that contribute to generation of heat in the body. Most of those people who have large body weight during winter do not have to bother buying ‘warm heavy clothing, but summer turns against them especially for hot flashes victims. Always eat fat-free food and exercise to reduce excess weight gain. Yoga especially those that involve intense meditation is the most suitable exercise for hot flash victims.

5. Say no to smoking
Smoking cigarette has been found to be a great trigger of hot flashes. Therefore, if you have been making cigarette part of you fun during the summer holidays, then you should reconsider another form of fun. You do not want to struggle with hot flashes right?

1. Make the rain work for you 
Just like winter most people stay indoors and keep warm during rainy season. The chances of hot flashes occurring are very high because most probably you are living with people who are not in your situation and hence may make the house as warm as possible. Apply most of the winter techniques and in addition consider rain water a cooling agent. When you are overwhelmed by hot flashes, a short rain shower is not as bad.
